its rey's bday sa yellow cab.. ahahahaha..
as in last month pa lang sinasabi niya na sa amin.. wahahaha..
nakakatuwa din kasi its a mini block lunch din ng s20..
if im not mistaken 20 out of 41 yung nandun na s20..
sa hapon naman we visited a plastic factory sa caloocan because its one of the requirements sa SCIMATP class namin..

bali meron kasi kami project sa INMEDIA(introduction to multimedia) in which gagawa kami ng horror movie poster using photoshop...
so yun.. :))

ComSci people dont watch TV anymore?
ok revise the question..
MOST ComSci people dont watch tv anymore, especially the news?!
AGREE or DISAGREE?!
sige nga, kelan ka ulit nanood ng tv, except for tv series(yung mga heroes something something) and telenovelas...
so bakit nga ba ito topic ko for my blog..
kasi kanina dun sa isa naming class which is tintech(education subject), parang nagsasabi sa amin yung teacher namin kung narinig na ba namin na ganito-ganyan na ang nangyariyari sa pilipinas (for ex. yung recent daw na intellectual property ng phil in whic you can copyright your invention and/or publication)
tapos halos karamihan sa amin wala talaga alam about it..
so comsci really changes your lifestyle very different than before.. yun lang yung conclusion nun.. PERIOD. :))
FORMDEV Amazing Race - S11 && S12 10/29/08
amazing race again around dlsu! ahahahaha..
so bali ang nag-race for the day is two frosh CSE blocks s11 and s12..
so ang gagawin nila is babalutin nila yung isang person ng tissue tapos iikot dun sa me amphi...
sabi, "nako ayaw ko na maging faci, dapat pala manlibre if ever manalo group..."
:)) :)) :))
oh well, i think i need to sell shirts next week para me pera ako.. hehe..
congrats ulit sa group ko.. the blue team! group3!
Jaguars Reunion 10/27/08
so habang yung iba sinasamantala yung sembreak..
ako naman wala na pasok after 930(8-930 lang pasok ko that day)
so we planned to meet again with my highschool friends sa glorietta...
so bali 7 kami na LHA jaguars na nandun...
me, yohan, yael , eunice, hannah, keecia, and janine..
actually, medyo nalate na rin ako ng dating, kasi i have a GK meeting sa PWU that time na biglaan..
anyway..
actually dapat 100 pesos lang nireload ko, eh kaso me hsm freebies pag150 so i got the 150 na..:P
got also a puppy na stuff toy dun sa crane
after nun ikot ikot, then picture picture...
Animo LHA! ahahahaha.. :P

LSCS DB Tutorial/ Roll the Dice/ COSCA-HSM3 10/24/08
marami na naman ako ginawa for this whole day
/************LSCS Connect ka DB? Tutorial********************/
(*sorry for Non-CCS people who will be reading this, wag niyo na alamin yun.. wahahaha..)
/*****************LSCS Roll the Dice**********************/
-ok mahaba kwento ko dito...kasi ganito nangyari..
(im warning you.. dont dare to read this, unless wala talaga kayu ginagawa..wahahaha)
so basically, roll the dice is a chinese tradition in which you will win a prize depending on the combination you have got by rolling 6 dice.. the higher the combination, the higher the prize..
so nung una dapat makabenta kami ng 2 tix each person..
kaso mga 2hours ata before the activity hindi ko pa rin nabenta yung tix ko..
pero nung bandang last1 hour at last min before ng activity, nabenta ko yung 2 tix..
tapos yung nabentahan ko me gagawin sila so ako daw maglaro..
so i got 3 tix in play...
ang rule kasi kung sino pinakamatass per table, maglalaban for the 'finals' for the ipod touch... pero there are still minor prizes per table(foods, usb, GC, ballpens and others)..
so naglaro ako sa first game(with 3 tix)
i got 2 ballpens, a choco mucho, and a juice para dun sa 2 tix na pinapalaro sa akin..
tapos yung sa akin naman i only got a nagaraya for myself..
tapos ang nangyari medyo banda dulo ng game, i got the highest score dun sa table so im qualified for the finals...
dahil natuwa ako that time, at naghihinayang ako na nagaraya lang nakuha ko sa first game, tapos sinabi pa nila kuya joseph na if ever ako ulit yung highest dun sa 2nd game ko, i have 2 chances of winning the itouch..
so ayun i played another game(so bali gumastos na ako ng 300 for the 2 tix-150 each kasi.. hayyy)
so sa second game, i got an oreo, choco mucho, tapos yung isa pang chocolate bar, tapos mineski internet shop na parang membership card,
so ganito nangyari..
so medyo natuwa ako syempre.. so isang ikot, pag wala makatalo sa akin, akin na yung itouch..
eh ang nagyari, si ate eunice, also an avp socio civic, yung kasunod ko, got the 2nd to the highest combination ng dice.. 5 na dice na #5, at isang #1..
so isang ikot ulit, eh kaso wala nakatalo, so she got the itouch..
huhuhu... :((
ang balak ko kasi if evr manalo ako nun,
ibenta ko yun para madagdag sa ipon ko in buying a DSLR(camera) and/or pambayad ng tuition ko kasi hindi ko pa nababayaran yung 40% ng tuition ko until now!!! :(( :(( :((
so wag kayu magtaka paghindi niyo ako nakita next week sa school...)
parang you will win by chance lang..
ah no.. erase.. erase..
tapos na yun.. PERIOD.
/***************COSCA Clean-up****************/
general clean up that day, grabe dami kalat sobra.. SOBRA..
/****************COSCA-HSM3*****************/
for those na hindi pa nakakapanood, i think you should watch it..
mas maganda siya sa HSM 2 promise.. SOBRA..
maganda yung setup kasi ng HSM3, as in musical talaga yung dating..

Computer Literacy Program @ Singalong 10/18/08
there were more or less about 20 kids din ata from grade 3 - 1st year highschool..
(*honestly.. medyo nainis/nalungkot ako kasi parang minadali ata yung activity)
anyway, ayusin siguro namin sa susunod..
pero naging ok naman siya kahit papano..
ang dami din pumunta from ccs..
kuya gil > CCS CAP

My Homemade Fisheye Lens Experiment
cause i really really want to have a fisheye camera..
nagresearch ako about it..
until i saw a DIY(do it yourself) Fish eye lens in the web..
so nakakuha ako ng idea so ginaya ko lang..
its IMG 6473 && IMG6474
basically the materials that ive used in my homemade fisheye lens are the following:
1. a door eye viewer(the one that is used to see the person outside the door)
*which i bought for 60 pesos..
2. electrical tape
3. an old bottle of mentos chewing gum that ive got sa classmate ko..
4. Cutter .. :P
im still on my experimentation with it cause the pictures are not that much clear..
"DIY fisheye lens"
basically ang gamit nila is also a door eye viewer, pvc pipe, and a craft something paper ata yun..
i think there are some that they used old glasses ata..
*me pasingit pala na ibang dlsu random pics.. dont mind it na lang.. :)
Nasobrahan sa ice cream.. (actually kulang..haha)

anyway, after cwts tuloy tuloy na agad trabaho
2nd stop> Gawad Kalinga 1 World Expo @ The Fort (Taguig)
nakakatuwa talaga itong activity..
its the GK Expo/ Rally / Anniversary celebration..
its also my first time sa The Fort..
some of the GK people and SC people came and volunteered in the event..
we are assigned as Mabuhay marshals in which we will welcome and guide each GK branch on their assigned places dun sa Fort Open Field..
they called it the Unity Float.. astig..
ive met also some new people from dlsu.. especially mga SC people
sana tuloy tuloy na ito sa GK-DLSU.. medyo me problems din ngaun kasi yung GK lasalle because of some issues.. especially with relations with COSCA..
anyway, naalala ko tuloy yung GK chant!
"Gawad Kalinga!
Isang milyong bayani!
Walang iwanan!
Tataya ako!"
Ipakita na bawat Lasalyano ay Bayani! :)
*uu nga pala..if you want pics na walang watermark sabihin niyo lang sa akin so i can give it to you.. :)
sorry for late posting, from now on try ko dapat na hindi lalampas ng 2 days dpat naupload ko na yung mga pics ko..
Plurk?!
ahahaha..
ive been receiving lots of plurk invites sa email, ym , at multiply..
and ang dami ko talaga nakikita nagplurk ngaun so nakigaya ako kahit wala ako idea on what this is..

FRIDAY will be retained as the University's FREE DAY!
To all Lasallians,
For the final decision regarding the "FREE DAY", it has been decided by the school President and Chancellor with your Student Council Representatives that Friday will beretained as the University’s “Free Day”.
We would like to thank all the Student Council representatives who have helped convince the administrators to ratain the "FREE DAY" to friday and to all the students who signed in the petition sheet. We also would like to thank all the administrators who listened to the voice of us students.
Thank You so much!
ANIMO LA SALLE!
(please pass)
/****************************************************************************************************/
ayos ito.. wheeeee!
THANK YOU BRO. ARMIN!!!!
what happen is this...
Oct 15(Wed)- nagmeeting yung Council of Deans and Aimee Chua regarding the issue..
out of 7(the 6 deans and Aimee), 2 voted AGAINST the proposal(Aimee and the Dean of CED)
the others voted for FOR so it was moved to the Presidential Level...
Oct 17(Fri)- tapos yun sina Bro. Armin decided to still continue the Friday as the Freeday..
me naisip ako bigla.. fr-I-day == fr-EE-day.. wahahaha.. di ba rhyme sila.. *nevermind :))
actually nalaman ko yung news when we are at the COSCA office..
tapos nabangit ko rin yung word na "STATUS-QUO" kasi yun yung ginagamit na word ng mga SC people parati regarding this issue (*wahahaha.. HSM.. yeah im an HSM fan anyway.. :p.. oh walang kokontra)
well talagang dapat mag "STICK TO THE STATUS QUO" because changing the free day is a "NO! NO! NO!"
siguro Bro. Armin "wanna be cool, (so he) follow one simple rule.. (so he) dont mess with the stuff (we are all use with)".. (*haha.. joke lang.. )
feeling ko talaga pagtinuloy nila, marami magrereklamo..
siguro baka dumaan pa yun sa parents(DLSU-PUSO) if ever na tuloy, kasi sa tingin ko sila lang yung last one na pwede makapagiba ng decision nun..
syempre paghindi maconvince ng students, sa parents dadaan yun, at pag nagreklamo yung parents patay admin (syempre the parents are the one paying the tuition)
tapos the fact na kakabago lang nla ng 4 day system, tapos me panabago na naman..
anyway, thanks sa lahat ng nagsupport about this! wahahaha.. yey!!!!

Manners..
As I crammed myself onto a crowded train this morning, I noticed there was a very pregnant woman standing near me, jammed in tightly and hanging on for dear life. I looked at the passengers sitting in the seats that are supposed to be surrendered to the elderly, physically challenged, and other people who need to sit, and all of them were listening to iPods. Most of them were also texting or reviewing email, one person was reading on a Kindle, and two people were watching movies. Not one of them even looked up; everyone was too absorbed in what they were listening to, reading, or watching to even notice the protruding belly and flushed face of the pregnant passenger.
Over the past few years, there have been countless discussions on minding our manners within our new modes of communication. Is it rude to text someone and ask him on a date? When is it appropriate to forward an email? Do we befriend someone on a social networking site we’ve only met once?
But while we’ve been debating the dos and don’ts of technology etiquette, it appears that many of us have forgotten some of the old school manners that our parents, grandparents, and teachers taught us—manners that have nothing to do with a keyboard or a monitor, but have everything to do with the long-forgotten Golden Rule. Maybe technology has eroded our brains so much that we can never go back to those golden days, but there are a few simple courtesies that I’d like to see make a comeback.
Hold doors for people.
This doesn’t just mean men holding doors for women—anyone who has the arm strength to hold a door for someone should. Holding a door shows that we’re paying attention to what’s going on around us and that we care about others even if they’re a complete stranger. That little bit of awareness also helps take our minds off the busy, crappy day we might be having. Plus, it’s a nice and unexpected way to pay it forward, kind of like smiling at a stranger. Hold the door for someone and someone else will hold it for you later.
Give up seats.
Lizzie Post, great-great granddaughter of Emily Post and author of How Do You Work This Life Thing?, says this is one practice she’d like to see happen more often. “Giving up your seat to someone is so easy. Even when people don’t accept your offer, I think it’s nice to get up and stay standing so they know you’re sincere. The more that we become the good example, the more it will catch on.”
Most of us were taught that it’s good manners to give up our seat to the elderly, pregnant, and physically challenged. But if we pay attention on trains, buses, in waiting areas, and other places where people stand, we might notice someone else outside those categories who could also use a seat—like someone carrying a bulky box or a heavy load of groceries. Common sense should prevail; if you see a situation where you think you’d prefer to sit, it’s a good idea to offer your seat.
Let those inside the elevator exit before you enter.
You know the scene. The elevator doors open and a crowd of people waiting to get on rushes toward you, making it difficult to get out. Post says the onus of politeness falls on those waiting for an elevator, meaning they should clear the exit path for anyone getting off and not enter the elevator until it’s clear. She also recommends that waiting until all people exit is a good rule to follow before entering anything—restaurants, shops, dressing rooms, etc.
Mind your telephone manners.
Our chief etiquette concern back in the “olden” days of telephones was remembering to write down a message when someone called. Now that we can take our phones anywhere and use them to do scores of things beyond just making telephone calls, our problems have spiraled out of control. Obnoxious ringtones, picking up calls in public places, sending a text message when a call would be more appropriate, and subjecting innocent bystanders to inappropriate conversations are just a few common telephone missteps.
But Post says that many of our phone snafus could be corrected if we’d follow one simple rule. “Excusing yourself to take a phone call in a private place is something I’d like to see more of. We’re so used to people being on the phone now that this isn’t a common practice anymore.” But what if we we’re in a place where we can’t step out to take a call? Post recommends to keep it brief and to keep the conversation appropriate. “Making plans is okay,” she says. “[But] if you’re gossiping, talking badly about someone, or saying something inappropriate, those should be closed-door conversations.”
Introduce people.
In Bridget Jones’s Diary, Bridget’s friend Shazza nails it when she advises Bridget to “introduce people with thoughtful detail.” Walking up to a group of people and never getting introduced is awkward and rude. This is often a sign that the person who should do the introductions has forgotten a name, which makes a great case for simply asking the person in question to tell you their name again. It also proves that introducing someone with some details and flair makes a difference; the person on the receiving end of the introduction will have more information to use when committing a name to memory.
Say please, thank you, and you’re welcome.
It sounds simple, but the magic words really do work magic. Using them shows our appreciation for what someone is about to do or has done for us. Says Post, “Pretty much everyone says thank you, which is fantastic. But I would love to hear more people use ‘please’ and ‘you’re welcome.’ If I say ‘thank you’ back to you and not ‘you’re welcome,’ that’s overriding your ‘thank you.’” Our moms weren’t just being cute when they told us we would catch more flies with honey. “Please,” “thank you,” and “you’re welcome” are some of the sweetest—and most useful—words in our language.
Respect elders.
Recently someone I know well surprised me by saying that he thought respecting our elders was a silly courtesy since not everyone deserves to be respected just because of his or her age. Touché. But how about simply showing them civility and common courtesy? An elder is, by definition, someone who has lived longer than we have, so they’ve accumulated more experiences and thus, more wisdom. We don’t have to agree with their wisdom, but acknowledging that there might be some helpful information that comes from their experience is nice. It’s also considerate to express gratitude to a related elder who helped pave the way and/or care for you or a family member who came before you, such as a mother or uncle.
Handwrite thank-you notes.
Paper correspondence in general seems to be a dying practice and unfortunately, handwritten thank-you notes are part of the casualties. I know I’m often guilty of sending a thank-you email when I’m pressed for time, which seems to have made its way on the list of accepted practices. But it’s that taking of time that really shows our appreciation. Anyone can send an email, but finding a nice piece of stationery or note card, handwriting our thanks, finding a stamp (who has those anymore?), and then getting to a mailbox to actually send it goes above and beyond in expressing our gratitude.
Sophisticated technology doesn’t mean that good manners have to be a thing of the past. In fact, Post says she defines good manners using three simple, everyday principles: consideration, respect, and honesty. “Apply those to any situation and toward all the people involved—including yourself—and [the solution] will make sense.”
