THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF PLURK.. a.k.a. The TEN PLURKOMMANDMENTS
1. Thou shalt plurk EVERYDAY.
- You should not only post plurks everyday, but also post QUALITY plurks. Post plurks if you have something to say and share to other people.
2. Thou shalt not SPAM.
- Plurk spamming is really annoying, especially when you post more than 30 plurks each day. Other plurkers will start to hate you and stop following your plurks.
3. Thou shalt RESPOND to other people's plurk.
- Responding to other people's plurk will also encourage other people to respond to your own plurks.
4. Thou shalt ADD and INVITE friends.
- You should add friends, but keep in mind that you should only add REAL friends. Do not add people that you really don't know. It's good to share things to people who know you and who you are comfortable to share things with. Rejected friend invitations will also decrease your karma.
5. Thou shalt not say BAD, offensive, and hurtful words to other people.
- Only say and share good and positive things in plurk. Do not also spread gossips and rumours that may affect other people lives.
6. Thou shalt not make your plurk TOO LONG.
- Plurk is only limited to 140 characters only. It is also used to share short messages only, usually status messages. If you want to post longer posts try doing it somewhere else.
7. Thou shalt not RE-PLURK or repost what other people is saying.
- Respond to existing plurks and create new plurks when necessary. Don't add new plurks when they are related to another plurk. You will keep your timeline more organized in this way.
8. Thou shalt not share any PERSONAL information.
- Don't post things that you dont want other people to know, like cellphone numbers, email addresses, and other important information. If you want to share things with some specific friends you can make a buddy clique(group) if you want to.
9. Thou shalt UPDATE your profile.
- Updating your profile will also increase your karma by adding your picture, birthday, and other information into your profile. Customizing the layout of your profile will also encourage people to visit your profile.
10. Thou shalt not LEAVE your Plurk for a long time.
- Being inactive for a long period of time will decrease your karma, so plurk whenever and wherever possible!
