Knowledge Channel Shoot 09/10/09

grabe, one of the most challenging photoshoot that ive ever done..
as in super challenge from actual shoot to post-processing.. @_@

itong shoot na ito para daw sa brochures, web banners, posters, etc ng volunteers ng Knowledge channel

kung titignan niyo yung pics super simple lang naman siya
but ill explain why its challenging..



Actual Shoot Challenge...

Challenge #1- DIY Studio
yung naginvite sa akin dito is one of my friends from cosca, ate angel, who is currently working sa Knowledge channel. So kala ko naman, meron studio +strobe lights whatever.. (*excited pa naman ako kasi kala ko magagamit ko mga gamit ng abs-cbn.. lol..) pagdating ko dun we will be shooting sa conference room lang pala..

so isip isip..
so ive asked if they have a white cloth, meron daw white table cloth.. ok DIY studio ito.. wahahahaha.. ok challenge #1 done..

Challenge#2- Lighting
so room lang kami na laman ay isang table, isang chair at slide para sa mga powerpoint presentation..

available light namin is 2 speedlight, Nissin Di622 at SB600, at yung room flourescent light..

so nagamit ko yung slide whatever parang reflector.. ok 1 down..
tapos pinuwesto ko yung isang speedlight na nakatutok sa background (woohoo strobist mode) yung isang speedlight nasa me right ko..
so sa tingin ko ok na yun..

eh, ayun, waaaaaahhhh.. later did i found out that my Nissin Di622 cant read the RF(radio frequency) signals whatever nung Nikon SB600.. @_@
so yun, i didnt use the sb600,and ive ended up using the pop-out flash ng cam ko(w/diffuser).. kaya tuloy mukhang flat lahat ng pics.. @_@

Challenge#3- "The Models"
so ok na nakasetup na lahat, (hirap talaga mag-ala-strobist)..

ito pinakachallenging talaga sa lahat..
my "models" are Jenny Caasi, JR Carpio, Alma Cruz, who are Knowledge Channel volunteers and that BIG LETTER K..

later did i found out that the 3 volunteers are students from CSB that are hearing-impaired.. (hearing-impaired=DEAF.. ayoko kasi gamitin yung "deaf" na word eh)

so kayo, pano niyo pipicturan yung hearing-impaired ABER???? hahahaha
buti na lang i know sign-language konti.. *hayyyy*
pero basic letter lang alam ko at super konnting phrases..

ayun i think we shoot for 2-3 hours.. and it was a SILENT SHOOT na tawa lang kami ng tawa kasi hindi kami magkaintindihan kung pano sila magpopose.. as in puro actions lang kami..
shocks grabe as in pagkatapos ng shoot,
bagsak ako pero tawa pa rin ako ng tawa kasi IT WAS REALLY AN EXPERIENCE..


Postprocessing Challenge
alam niyo naman na im a photojournalist and a frustrated fashion/portrait photographer, kaya i dont edit my pics.. unless minor cropping at adjusting of brightness and contrast..

ayun nakaupo ako sa comp, postprocessing 40 pics in about 3-4 hours..

actually isa lang naman problem ko,eh..
kasi the problem is yung tela na ginamit namin, maliit lang siya at marami gusot.. so i need to use the "kakibunchi" tool ng photoshop, aka the clone stamp tool, to clone some parts ng background..

pero waaaaahh.. wala talaga ako kuwenta na photoshop editor.. panget pa rin pagkaedit ko.. *patoinks* ang labo ko talaga, nilalait ko sariling pics ko parati.. wahahahaha..


anyway, ito yung mga shots ko.. dami pa satsat eh.. wahahahaha..
