Lasallian Excellence Awards Night '09 03/28/09

ininvite lang ako ni ate jo to photoshoot for LSTv in this 'exclusive' event na dapat for faculty, org presidents, and some other people lang..
its an awards night for the organizations that have excelled, and yung mga students and faculty as well..

pagdating namin dun, kala namin restaurant siya..
pero its a yacht.. woooahhh sosyal @_@
we even sailed sa manila bay habang nagaawarding..

kaso medyo nainis din kami ni ate jo kasi ang liit sobra nung yacht kaya hindi kami makashoot ng mabuti, tapos panget pa lighting.. T_T

anyway,ang cool din that time kasi earth hour din yun..
so nagpatay yung ilan mga buildings along roxas boulevard..hehe..

congrats nga rin pala sa LSCS for winning the best adhoc activity.. and for ms. rhia trogo for winning one of the outstanding faculty members ng lasalle

kasi dati yung medyo bago bago pa yung MoA, meron dun Papelmelroti, sabi nung mga nagbebenta dun pupunta daw si kuya robert.. so libot muna kami ng family.. pagbalik namin kakaalis lang daw niya.. waaaahhh :((

habol ko lang kasi kay kuya robert is a Pirmasterpiece talaga and a picture with him..

yun yung sulat mo name mo sa isang papel, tapos gagawa siya ng drawing out of your name

Santugon Announcement of GE Winners 03/27/09

hay nako..

derecho naman ako dito sa santugon "barracks" sa gox..
nandun kasi lahat ng candidates ng santugon waiting for the announcement of General Election(GE) winners..
yung EB(Executive Board) nasa isang room tapos the rest of batch-level officers nasa kabilang room..
gusto ko kasi malaman yung GE Winners na first-hand info

actually, ang gusto ko lang talaga malaman is kun sino mananalo sa EB..
sa CCS sure win na eh, hindi na pinagiisipan yun.. :))

tapos naman na.. actually i voted 8 out of 11 santugon people itong elections, di gaya last year na 2-2 sa batch-level tapos 3-3 sa EB.. so chopsuey talaga..
and i still voted each one of them, i mean tinignan ko talaga isa isa and not as a party.. pero kung yung lahat ng candidates ng isang party are worthy enough, why not vote for them? di ba?!

sa bagay chopsuey pa rin ako this elections..
mas marami lang yung 'corn' kaysa sa 'carrots'.. :P
*speaking of chopsuey, kumakain ako ngaun ng chopsuey habang tintype itong blog ko.. :)) *oh, nevermind.. ahahahaha

galing ng technique namin nina kuya miggy at joel..
yung ibang kagroupmates namin sina ate gladys , kuya mon , at karen natayu lang sa isang gilid..

ill share my kwento that day.. *oh so konyo.. :))

actually, the night before(thu) medyo nadedepress kasi ako...
kasi dapat yung day na ito punta ako sa Formdev Damas Outreach sa me Museo Pambata..
tapos nalaman ko kay klindt na hindi pala ako kasama dun, kasi limited lang ung slots for the facis 13 lang dapat..
eh hindi niya pala nakuha yung PM ko sa YM..
eh super excited pa naman ako..

that night din, wala pa yatang isang minute after ko kausap si klindt sa YM
bigla nagPM si ate jerlou na punta daw ako sa CLiP, kasi hindi daw pwede sina murphyat ixi pati siya
so sakto, siguro plan nga ni God na dun na lang ako pumunta

kinabukasan, medyo nadedepress pa rin ako kasi nga hindi ako kasama sa museo..
nagopen ako ng comp nung umaga bago pumunta sa school, tapos nagPM si ate jerlou, nagbackout daw yung speaker nina ixi.. kaya ako na lang daw..

"There are three thrusts that I tend to start next year. The first one is to heighten the sense of nationalism of CCS students through researching a new set of transformational and progressive curriculum that would make CCS students more aware of the national issues.Next would be to bring back that CCS pride through a showcase of our talents by joining different kind of cmpetitions and also making our MP's more known not only in our college but making it useful and accessible across the university and our nation. Lastly, as your Tapat leader we will continue to breed pro-people governance as we will protect your rights and fight for quality."

Glecer Bautista, Santugon CAP Candidate:

"As the College Assembly President, I will address the three main problems that we see for our college. First, our insufficient external linkages. We want to reinforce the External Affairs Office because it caters to needs of the students with regards to their OJT or future career oppurtunities. Second, the undergoing physical renovation and internal changing of the curriculum of our college. We will help the CCS Administration with this overhaul through involvement in the research and have intensive review for the curriculum in our college. And lastly, for the holistic development of our college by giving leadership congress that will help the non-member or non-official of any organization to hone their leadership skills because we believe we are all leaders on our own. At the same time, we will also consult the students and address the issues that arises."

"Well actually Andrew, the Student Handbook Revision is over for next year, but if possible, I will push for having the different organizations in our university to have an environmental project. Also after a year, we will push for a pro-student dress code wherein it will promote student's freedom of expression and will be less restricting to the students."

Ryvin Canido, Tapat Cath2t11 L.A. Representative Candidate

"The Student handbook revisions are closed for next year. student handbook is only open for revisions every three years. But with regards to what i mainly plan and push as of now is to lobby for the ratification of the USG, the removal of the dress code implementing guidelines, and continue to represent the batch in protecting their rights and welfare"

"A tapat leader will always be true to his platform.  That is the main reason I am here infront of everyone hoping to pursue the presidency in the college of computer studies. "Just in case I didn't get through in the elections, I will still push for the platforms that we presented through involving myself in the batch/college assembly. Also, we can present it to the administration. Because I believe that if the plans of actions are truly beneficial for the students why will it hinder you to push for it even you are not an elected officer."

"After the elections, I will still engage in different affiliations, whether SC or CSO, so I can still serve the students especially our batch in ways other than being an elected officer. You should vote for derecho because we are pushing for a student council that will treat the students as the topmost priority of service. We have the determination and passion to voice out your concerns to the higher offices and affect a pro-student change in the Lasallian community. We are also bounded to be consultative, proactive and responsive brand of leadership. How can we be consultative? we will consult the students in every issue that will arise before making decisions and implementations around the school. We will also be open to you the students to be able to cater your concerns. How can we be proactive?Being proactive is acting on before the problem arrives. A concrete example is the Nookstore. We will provide student service through the nookstore like stocking up school supplies and also test booklets before an exam comes. How can we be responsive? Like what Aimee Chua did to the Monday Ubreak, she made several steps to push against the Monday Ubreak. She even brought it up to the admin just to postpone the said proposal. As your Santugon leaders, we will immediately act and respond once issues like the Monday UBreak arrives just to be of service to the students."

pabalik na kami nun sa COSCA office galing sa me Sports Comp(kasi dun hinintay ng farmers yung mga jeep nila), when i saw this kids..

pasimple lang ako nagpipicture nung una, tapos bigla nahalata nung isang bata.. sabi niya "papicture!", wala na ayun tuloy tulyo na.. :))

wala lang super natutuwa kasi ako sa mga bata.. kaya natuwa din ako taking pictures of them :P

CARPER RTR Campaign 03/21/09

so nagRTR kami or room-to-room campaign with the calatagan and sumilao farmers sa mga CWTS classes to explain to the students what the CARPER Bill is and to get support through signature campaign..

ayun medyo fresh pa kasi pa rin yung tapat/santugon campaign..
so gumawa din kami ng sariling version..
ito nga yung script ko.. *na me kasamang panggugulat sa mga students.. :P

Lupang Hinarang 03/28/09

Lupang Hinarang, made by Ms. Ditsy Carolino, is a documentary film of the the different farmers fighting for their land. So far hindi pa daw siya tapos talaga, but yung nagawa pa lang is a 2-part story of the farmers from Sumilao and Negros.

grabe, super hirap pala talaga yung dinanas nila. Some of them have a hunger strike for 29 days. 29 days walang kainan, tubig lang na may halong asin. Dalawang araw nga lang hindi ko na kaya 1 month pa kaya ng walang kainan?! @_@

There is also one part of the story yung sa mga farmers na tagaNegros. Dun super grabe yung nangyayari sa kanila. Nagrant na sa mga farmers yung land nila pero still yung landowner, Robert Cuenca ata yun, which is also a relative ata of the Arroyos, ayun pinagbabaril sila ng parang wala lang. Bakit ba ganon kasugapa ang mga tao?!

We didnt also expect that day na mapupuno yung buong Andrew Auditorium(A1801). Sabi nga namin dapat pala Yuchengco na lang kami.. :))

Please continue to support the farmers. This week magkakaroon ulit ng signature campaign sa Central Plaza starting Tue. To give you an idea they need 1.3 million signatures para makatulong mapasa yung Carper Bill, pero so far 15,000 pa lang nakukuha nilang signatures. Kahit siguro magsign lahat ng 12000+ na students ng Lasalle it still would not be enough, but one signature will really help them so much...

Harapan 09: SC General Elections Debate 03/20/09

medyo late na ako dumating.. hindi ko tuloy narining yung unang part..
pero ok naman siya sa tingin ko..
both parties won a debate kasi there are 2 debates ata if im not mistaken..
ill just wont comment na lang about it more, basta yun na yun..

hindi ko lang talaga makalimutan yung isang frosh na nagtanong.. wahahaha.. bakit ba me mga ganung tao sa mundo..
tanong ba naman niya bakit people are wearing party colors during the campaign, basta ang labo niya.. pero seryoso siya dun sa tanong niya.. :))

**errr.. balik na naman ako sa walang kwentang photos ko.. waaahhh..
hindi ko makuha yung tamang spot kasi ba naman ang dami tao..

Beware: Lasalle Pedicab Drivers?!

siguro naman nareceive niyo itong message na ito sa YM..

"Please be aware and cautious of pedicab drivers staying on the U.M. Side. Just this saturday, March 21, a la salle female student was raped and robbed by suspected "HALAY-NAKAW GANG" posing as pedicab drivers with tatoo marks on their chins with a ( Tks ) mark. That is their gang mark. Please pass to the Lasallian community. . ."

I'm not sure kung totoo nga ito..

pero sa mga sumasakay ng pedicab diyan, 

ewan ko kung napapansin niyo meron kasi mga pedicab na merong sticker ng Task-Force Safe School.. yun yung mga pedicab drivers na approved by the police and Lasalle security..

tapos next niyo gawin pagnakita niyo me sticker.. tignan niyo yung baba ng pedicab driver kung me tatoo! lolz.... :))

so mas mabuti na maging maingat, kundi baka maya kayu susunod na biktima(kung totoo man yun).. :P

hindi lang sa CCS, as in hindi ko maintindihan bakit inembento yung calculus sa mundo..

eh ano naman kung malaman mo yung limit at derivative ng isang equation?

pano mo gagamitin yun sa pangarawaraw na buhay?

kasi ba naman imbis na nakakatulong siya sa tao, PAHAMAK lang talaga ang CALCULUS sa buhay ng tao.. as in yung matatalino sa amin sa CCS, mga super galing sa programming, bigla na lang babagsak sa calculus.. tapos marami din kami mga higher batch na hindi pa nagtatake o hindi pa ulit nagtatake ng calculus.. kasi super hirap.. waaaaahhhh..

one problem din siguro sa akin kasi wala kami calculus nung HS.. tapos dagdagan mo pa yung fact na homeschool ako.. alge pa nga lang hirap na ako,eh calculus pa kaya..

waaaaahhhh..

actually, tinry ko magCalculus nung previous term, kaso Reyes..

sabi ko ill take it as a challenge at tutuloy ako..

pero ayun wala din, kinabahan na ako nung first quiz hindi na ako nagtake at dnirop ko na siya..

tapos ngaun Pascasio naman, super galing niya, mabait pa..

kaso wala din mukhang babagsak din ako sa kanya..

what more kung LOTR pa yun di ba?!

sinabi ko na ito sa formdev bs namin,eh.. *BS==Bible Study

pagbumagsak talaga ako ng ccscal1 ko this term, its either magstop muna ako magFormdev o kaya totally magstop na ako maging formdev faci..

kasi naalala ko yung sinabi ni doc sison na dapat daw yung mga faci hindi bumabagsak..

sayang din.. kasi 0 accumulated failed units ako ngaun.. so pagnangyari yun.. yung 0 magiging 3..

waaaaahhhh.

promise naiinis na ako sa kanya..

katulad ngaun imbis na nandun ako ngaun sa glorietta kasama yung HS friends ko kasi bday ng kaklase ko, andito nag mumokmok sa bahay.. nagaaral ng calculus at quiz3 na namin bukas.. waaaaahhhh..

kaliwat kanan na naman ang mga RTR.. *RTR==room-to-room

promise na LSS na ako sa RTR nila.. @_@

yellow, blue, red, black, orange na naman nakikita kong kulay for the past days..

ang pulitika hindi lang talaga makikita sa ating gobyerno..

pati na rin mismo sa ating pamantasan.. *uy, lalim.. :P

kahit ata hangang sa trabaho me pulitika..

1. I AM A CANDIDATE VOTER AND NOT A PARTY VOTER

Sinsabi nila parati vote derecho or straight. The benefits of voting straight or derecho is that pagsamasama sila mas madali makagaw ng mga projects, whereas kung halo, tapos kunwari nagpropose ng project yung isa, then kokontrahin naman ng isang candidate kung bakit pa kailangan gawin yung project na yun na hindi naman kailangan. Pero I voted the candidate and not for the party kasi for the following reason below//

 

2. I WILL VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE’S OWN PERSPECTIVE AND NOT OF THE PARTY’S OWN BELIEFS AND PLATFORMS

Paminsan kasi  kahit sabihin mo maganda yung platform ng isang party, pero bigla naman walang kwenta yung candidate nila, then why should you then vote for him/her? Kasi mga candidates paminsan nagcompromise sila sa beliefs ng isang party, kahit na labag yun sa sarili nilang perspective. And besides kung magbase kayu sa platform, hay naku, ill tell you kulang ang isang year para magawa nila lahat yun. There is a possibility then na panget nga yung platform pero tama naman yung thinking ng candidate na yun sa isang situation, why not vote for him and her?

 

3. I WILL VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO IS RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH

I’ve been a Batch Assembly officer for 2 years already(even though hindi lang talaga ako active for the past terms, especially this term), so I know some of the persons around the DLSU-Student Council which is really an advantage for me. I know how they work and who is the responsible and deserving enough to be voted. Hindi lang responsible enough sa trabaho niya, but also sa academics niya. Hindi naman ito one of the major qualities na gusto ko sa isang candidate, iba kasi talaga yung person na kaya pagsabayin ang activities at academics niya. Di ba? 

 

4. I WILLVOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO CAN MAKE A CHANGE

I’ll vote a candidate who doesn’t only do projects that is only for short term purposes, but candidates who can make a difference hindi lang for a term but also until matapos yung term nila. Alam mo yun yung mga taong that leaves a great legacy behind that all persons can remember, and what they do is something can benefit the current students and also the next generation.

 

 

5. I WILL VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO DOESN’T STOP PURSUING THEIR GOALS EVEN THEY LOSE

I’ll vote for the person na hindi sumusuko kahit talo na siya. Kasi yung mga natalo dati ano ginagawa ngaun. Ayun talo nga sila, kaya relax relax sa tabi tabi.. hayyy.. Sabi nga dati ng Comelec, hindi mo kailangan magkaroon ng position to make a change, you as a simple student can do it.

 

 

6.I WILL VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE NA HINDI NANINIRA NG IBANG KAMPO

Naiinis talaga ako sa mga candidates na naninira ng kambilang kampo. Hayaann niyo na nga lang yung kabila. Kaysa magtirihan kayu sa philosophies ng bawat partido, manahimik na lang kayu. Lahat naman ng mga tao have their own strengths and weaknesses, kaya wag na kayu magyabang na mas magaling  kayu sa kabila!

 

 

7. I WILL VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO DOES WANT TO SERVE THE STUDENTS

I want leaders who know what servant leadership is. It means that he /she wants really to serve the students and not just for resume purposes lang. I want a person who is always ready to help some when they need something and a person who is approachable.

 

 

Kaya SURIIN MABUTI ang bawat kandidato, at wag basta MAGPALOKO!

 

actually, meron na rin ako bets ngaun, and it is CHOPSUEY, meaning hindi staright or dereco vote.. i have already 4 chosen EB(Executive board) out of 6.. and mga 3 out of 5 college reps(including CAP).. pero it still might change as the days go by..

If you don’t vote, you have no right na magreklamo kung magkaroon ng problem and tayu rin maapektuhan nito eventually. Kung wala talaga kayu gusto iiboto magabstain na lang kayu, para ipakita niyo sa knila na walang sa mga candidates ang really deserving.

 

Kaya dapat make a wise choice at huwag magpaloko sa kung anong pinagsasabi ng 2 kampo. Kasi pamisan puro na lang salita ant pangako, kulang naman sa gawa!

 

Sana maging maayos at peaceful na lang ang buong election hangang maproclaim yung winners. Kung talo, tangapin na lang at huwag na magreklamo!

Farmer Visit @ Hospico De San Jose 03/14/09

pumunta kami nina kuya reden, mark, at val sa Hospicio para bisitahin ang mga kapatid natin na magsasaka na nais isulong ang CARPER Bill..

konti na lang sila ngaun mga 25 na lang daw silang magsasaka..
18 from Calatagan, and some from Sumilao at Banasi farmers..

yung iba babalik na lang daw sa April 13 para sa susunod na session ng ating Congreso, dun kasi malalaman kung maisusulong ba ang CARPER Bill..

Nagkaroon lang kami ng kuwentuhan, pati yung mga ghost story nila dun sa Hospicio..
yung Hospicio kasi isa siyang island na malapit sa me Malacañang.. sa me Ayala Bridge na malapit din sa SM Manila..
its a 200 year old orphanage.. @_@
first time ko lang din nakapunta dun, pero ilang beses ko na rin kasi yun dinadaanan..
