RE: Philippine Star news article
"DLSU coed flees from abductors"

In response to the Philippine Star article, "DLSU coed flees from abductors," written by Nestor Etolle and published last August 3, De La Salle University wants to clarify that the student, whose name was withheld in the story, is no longer enrolled in DLSU. Her last enrollment was for the third trimester of School Year 2007-2008, which ended in April 2008.

The University's records also show no mention of her name on the campus entry logs on August 1, 2008, the date of the alleged incident.

De La Salle University assures the public and its various stakeholders that it gives utmost importance to the safety of students under its care through stringent security measures implemented in all its campus facilities.
