DLSU Dress Code Issue (bawal na nga ba ang tsinelas?!)

so, kanina kakalabas lang yung bagong issue ng Plaridel and one article about the Dress Code Issue...

Base on the article, The OVP-Acads (Office of the Vice President for Academics -> Student Council) is currently studying for implementing a Dress Code Policy in the university.

So, dalawa lang naman daw yung implement:
1. "ipinagbabawal ang pagsusuot ng mga damit kung saan makikita ang mga dibdib para sa mga kababaihan" (Plunging neckline)
(*edi pwede sa lalake.. jokes.. ahahahaha..)
2. "ipinagbabawal ang pagsuot ng tsinelas"

According to Aimee Chua, SC-Vice President for Academics, there should really be guidelines regarding the Dress Code to maintain the standards of the school and the DLSU officials believe that the image of the univeristy itself is affected if the students dont dress appropriately.

According to the article, the policy will be probably be decided by the Student Handbook Revision Committee by the start of the third term.

According to Section 4 of the Student Handbook "Social Norms"
(page b17 of the current handbook 06-09)

"Upon admission to the University, a student is regarded as a mature individual with all the rights and responsibilities of a citizen to foster an environment that is conducive for academic, social, and moral development All these contribute to the goal of achieving a Lasallian education and upholding the Lasallian values for the common good within and outside the University. With this, certain forms of conduct and demeanor should be observed as follows:"


And according to the Student Handbook Section 4.2... 

"The University recognizes the right of students to come to school dressed according to their individual taste. However, they are encouraged to use attires that consider the sensibility of other members of the academic community. Dressing appropriately is a virtue which the University would like to cultivate among students, thus the University reserves the right to call the attention of students who dress inappropriately"

ok, here is my comment regarding this...
i think we should really have a guidelines regarding the dress code, because there are really some people who dont really dress appropriately nowadays.. at dahil walang guidelines, generally kahit ano gusto natin pwede natin suotin..

kaso ang major issue is dito is yung banning of wearing of slippers..
like what the article has said..
ok lang siguro yung pagbawal sa plunging neckline, pero yung sa slippers, i think they should study it really carefully..
as you can see, halos lahat ng tao sa lasalle nakaslippers.. nakaHavianas.. kundi havianas.. Crocs.. SOSYAL.. (*nyek, ang layo ng SOSYAL sa main topic)
anyway, hindi ko alam kung sa atin lang ba yung pwede magslippers. pero people will think its unfair if it is implemented sa atin while other schools are still allowed to wear slippers.

pero another problem is..
people have different perspective what really "appropriateness" is..
kung para sa admin dapat ganito yung kailangan suotin,
pero sa students ganito ok lang naman..
it will definitely result to a conflict..

pero syempre every student knows and is responsible what to wear on a specific occasion..
syempre if going to outside companies dapat nakaformal..
pag reporting ganun din, and so and so forth..
they are "mature individuals" so i think they SHOULD know what to wear...

1. DSLR (in laymans term.. a PROFESSIONAL digital camera)

~ specifically a NIKON DSLR

~ more specifically a NIKON DSLR D80(ok na rin siguro yung D40, pero yung talagang gusto ko is D90.. kung pwede lang haha)

ito NIKON DSLR D90...

kung titignan niyo mga comments ko sa mga photo album ko dito sa multiply, puro na lang sinasabi ko.. 

"blurred pics,, kasi ba naman kung me DSLR sana ako.."

pero seriously, i want a DLSR more than a laptop... (*ang weird noh, eh, mas importante laptop, lalo na INTROSE next term)

medyo kinacareer ko kasi ngaun ang photography,eh..

sayang sana, next term kasi, subject namin ISPHOTO

eh dahil hindi pa kami nakabayad ng 40% ng tuition

hindi tuloy ako nakaenroll, as in nagclose na yung section..

wala na rin tuloy ako dahilan sa parents ko na bilhan nila ako ng DLSR..

pero try ko pa rin magapply for special section para makapasok ako.. hehe..

2. LAPTOP

~specifically a Tablet

~more specifically a HP Pavillion TX1000 (pero gusto ko rin kahit Asus EEE lang o kaya yung mga minilaptop na iba, para pwede dalhin araw-araw, hindi ko na kailangan ng notebook nun)

super dami na kasi ginagawa ngayun, especially pagMP times, ako lang ata walang laptop.. 

tuloy its either hihiram ako ng laptop or punta ako sa computer lab para lang makagawa ng mga projects..

gusto ko rin ng Tablet kasi IST kami, i think kakailanganin namin yun, especialy pagdrawing ng kung ano ano..

yun nga INTROSE kami next term (that is kung papasa kami ni Bulos), kaya kailangan ko na rin talaga magkalaptop by next term

3. 1 TB HDD (1 Terabyte Hard Disk Drive)

~ok na siguro kahit 750 GB or 500GB lang.. o sige na nga kahit 250 GB lang

 

medyo puno na kasi yung hard disk ko ngayun.. as in mga 2gb out of 100 gb na lang yung natitira.. siguro dahil din yun sa mga pics ko..

ang hirap kasi magburn pa sa CD para mabawasan lang yung files, especially kung kailangan mo ng space agad at namamadali ka.. nakakatamad na rin magbura, kasi magiisip ka pa kung buburahin mo yung file o hindi, dagdag oras pa

4. 4GB RAM (or higher)

pagkatapos ng 1TB na HDD, kailangan ko na rin ng mataas na RAm, kasi super duper bagal na yung comp ko ngaun,(*the fact na dual core na siya) kasi din 512 lang RAM ko, kailangan ko rin yun lalo na pagnagedit kami ng mga Videos at paggumagamit ng Netbeans..at iba pa..

5. 16GB USB Flashdisk

~actually meron na ata 32GB atv 64GB na flashdisk not sure.. haha

medyo madami na rin kasi ako files ngayun, at katulad ng HDD, tinatamad kasi ako magisip kung ano buburahin pagpuno na yung laman ng flashdisk ko(1gb lang kasi siya) at lalo na pagnamamadali ka

6. Cellphone?

~hindi ko alam kung ano brand at model,eh.. siguro yung MyPhone na dual sim, para wala na magrereklamo na hindi ako nagGlobe.. ahahaha

actually kontento naman ako using my oldschool Nokia 3210 na dating cell ng mama ko, kaso kasi ayun hindi siya pwede pantawag kasi nauubusan siya agad ng battery..

pero feeling ko ASA pa ako sa mga ito..

hindi pa nga kami nakakbayad ng 40% ng tuition ko this term..

tapos hindi ko nga rin alam kung makakaenroll pa ako next term..

pero naghahangad na ako ng mga ito..

pero LIBRE naman mangarap, eh..

GK National Sagip Day 12/06/08

so lahat ng GK Sagip kids(7-10 years old?) ng bawat village ay nandito(D.Tuazon Elementary School sa QC) para magpasiklaban sa ibat ibang contest at games..

actually, i was one of the finalist nung GK Sagip Photo Contest
kung hindi nga ako finalist siguro baka hindi rin ako pumunta,wahahaha..

kala ko rin nung una ako lang yung tagaLasalle na nandun..
nandun din sina Ate Noey, Ate Regz at yung iba..
medyo busy kasi ngayun puro finals kaya hindi na rin nakapunta yung iba..

anyway, bigla rin nila ako kinuha bilang moderator ng Debate, kasi nagkulang daw sa tao..
buti na lang nakapanood ako dati ng debate ng Santugon at Tapat dati kaya nakuha ko agad yung process
(*isang beses pa lang ako nakapanood ng debate at yun nga.. haha!)
nung una nagkaproblem pa kasi wala din yung mga judges kasi na sa ibang mga events..
pero yun naresolve naman nakakuha ng random people..si Mis Sky at Teacher Jen

so naglaban laban 6 teams which is composed of 3 Sagip Kids per Team..

grabe, galing ng mga bata..
age nila mga 7-12 years old lang..
pero kung magisip sila super layo na..
ang galing kasi nila sumagot..
talagang me point yung sinasabi nila..

after ng debate, libot libot, picture picture..
tapos tulong din dun sa parlor games sa me field nung bandang hapon..

tapos awarding na..
i got 2nd place sa Photocontest! wheeeee!

nakakapagod siya, pero super saya talaga..


*medyo maliwanag yung mga field pics ko dito..
kasi ba naman ngayun ko lang nalaman kung pano gumagana ang ISO..
errr.. ISO 800 ginamit ko.. mali.. >_<
marami pa talaga ako dapat malaman sa photography..

**err.. hindi rin pala nakarotate yung mga ibang pics.. ang weird.. ngayun ko lang napansin.. tinatamad na ako magroate ng isat-isa..

as usual PINK team.. yeah go PINK PANTHERS!

eh pagdating ko, konti lang naman..
pero ok na rin yung konti..

anyway,
nakakatuwa lang din that day
kasi dun ko pa lang nakilala personally yung mga nagaadd sa kin sa friendster at multiply
katulad nina mark at suzanne at iba pa..

tapos nakakagulat din
kasi ang dami nakakakilala sa akin..
ang weird..
hindi lang kasi students, pati mismo yung mga parents
ganun na ba talaga ako kasikat?!
wahahaha jokes..

masaya naman kahit papano..
ang weird lang siguro ng amazing race..

galing nung mom na kapartner ko

Christmas na sa Lasalle! 12/02/08

ok pauwi na ako dapat nun..
kaso habang naglalakad kami ni Jag sa me Taft..
bigla ko nakita na me mga parol dun sa labas ng DLSU..
kaya nacurious ako kaya bumalik ako sa loob..

tapos ayun tama nga hinala ko..
nilagay na nila ulit yung mga parols and christmas decorations around lasalle..

sakto dala-dala ko cam ko..
kaya ayun naglibot-libot ako at kumuha ng pics
*kahit kailangan ko na umuwi at marami pa ako dapat gawin

anyway, christmas na nga sa Lasalle..
at ayon sa Wikipedia , nagiiba daw ang tunog ng school bell every Christmas
na hindi naman nangyari last year.. *pambihira excited pa naman ako dati nung frosh kami..
totoo ba talaga yun?! *higher batch???
